Overview
About Me
I'm Ciera! I'm a recent CU Boulder graduate from Colorado. Right now I'm looking forward to the wide array of options before me. I'm currently pursuing my TEFL certification to teach English abroad and I'm working full time in order to make that happen. I'm very open-minded (really, I am) and I believe that love and forgiveness are the path to saving the world. I try to live with my heart open-- a simple smile to a stranger passing by, or a friendly comment to a cashier really makes all the difference. As a member of the human race, however, I'm very aware that I'm not perfect and can admit when I make mistakes... which happens a lot honestly. My family is everything to me and I'm lucky to have so many amazing friends in my life. Boulder has been my home for my entire life and I love it so much, but I've also caught the world's itchiest travel bug and need to get out!
For me, the best feeling in the world is the moment just before an adventure, where you're so nervous and afraid that you almost wish you could turn back. And you have no idea what's going to happen. But instead, you take a deep breath and dive in head first, because you know that you have to find out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to experience somewhere new is through the amazing people that you meet along the way. I want to know what YOU love about your home, and not just whatever there happens to be on Yelp.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer I volunteered in Cusco, Peru to work with underprivileged kids in the area. The experience helped me realize how much I value working with children.
Also, I took a course in African Dance in my last semester of college and it was for sure AMAZING. I got an A too... so you could say I'm pretty freaking good at it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My super positive attitude! I will be respectful of your house rules and clean up after myself. I will also share my sparkling personality and my snacks. Outside of that, just ask me! I'm very grateful at the idea of someone welcoming me to their home and I will be looking for a way to repay the favor!
