About Me

Queer feminist, lgbtq asylum and migration activist & project manager, global citizen, political scientist in Malmö, Sweden.

PHILOSOPHY

I stand close to the feminist and queer theories and work with LGBTQI asylum and migration as a project coordinator. I care about the planet and people, get disappointed in the world each and everyday but start all over again the next day with hope and positivity. I get energy and stimulation by the needs/possiblities to achieve in this messed up world and try to spread joy. I'm a chatty person although I do love my privacy at times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always had many friends visiting me from various parts of the world and I knew nothing about Couch Surfing back then! I think CS has the soul which the whole world needs to have in order to tackle with all the problems we have, naively... I love the fact that pure love to human beings and trust to each other without conditions is just fascinating. I come to notice how our everyday lives just make us find these pretty humane things so different and fascinating, which they are.

Interests

I did my bachelors in International Relations and my masters in Development Studies. I am interested in the notion of development itself in a philosophical context but also very much interested in practical applications of it. I call my self an activist and like to stand up and speak out for what I believe. I love the universe and I do a lot in practice and give thought in a theoretical sense a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy independent movies a lot and Mexican, Turkish, some European movies are in my favourites also. I quite enjoy watching documentaries of different sorts as well. The Queen of Silence, Motorcycle Diaries, Toast, La Finestra di Fronte, The Crime of Father Amaro

I might basically read everything I find interesting in that moment, depending on my mood and surroundigns and intellectual needs etc. Good old pal Hermann Hesse would save me from my thirst every now and then, for instance.. but I can't tell I am good at finishing books I start since I generally have many draft thoughts in my mind and like to keep it that way to reflect upon when I travel an meet new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Living in São Paulo, Brazil for 2 months was a great experience. I love Brazil!

-Porto and Portugal has a special place within me for the period I lived there with lots of amazing people!

-Moving to Sweden to do masters was a very big step in my life and I did learn a lot about myself during the Swedish winter! ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably teach you some cooking recipes!
I believe communication can also be used as a tool for teaching and learning as well as sharing and we can develop and deepen our understanding by it, so let's talk! :)
