I'm Cillian from the west coast of Ireland, Spancilhill, its five miles outside the town of Ennis. I'm a primary school teacher and I packed in my job to go travelling South America. I began in Cartagena at the beginning of October and I'm still seeing new spots as I work down through this continent. I'm loving it so far. I've seen loads and have met some great people along the way. I've joined this as I have heard great things on my travels about it, that it is a great way to meet local people and practice your Spanish at the same time (mine needs alot of practice). I'm eager to give it a go.

I listen to all types of music not one band/genre in particular. As far as books, I have just finished Marching Powder on my travels. I'm looking to get back into reading more especially when I go back to Ireland.

I have seen a pod of Orcas off Isla Isabella in the Galapagos. Pretty amazing to get up close to them in a dinghy.
