My name is Dominik even though I prefer Nik better. I'm originally from Slovakia but due to my spontaneous nature, I never really know where I end up for a weekend or for a year.

I'm currently living and studying in Canterbury, England where I attend the University of Kent. I go back to Slovakia couple times a year. Hit me up if you'd like to meet for a coffee as I'm probably not able to host due to a size of my dorm room.
I've also lived in Austin, TX so please do not blame me for my weird mixture of southern american-slavic accent. Hit me up if you are looking for hanging out and maybe even a couch if you are a one person (exceptions may apply). Make sure to read info about me little lower if you want :)

Also I do not mind your dull chain requests asking for a host but make sure you won´t start by "Dear Monica"

PHILOSOPHY

I am an idealist, free-thinker, independence freak and dreamer. I do not mind indulging in cynical sarcasm and dark humor. Stand-up comedians such as George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Louis Ck and others taught me about the bitterness of life we all often ignore but only when we learn about the adversities and face them, only then we are able to see the genuine unspoiled beauty of the life. Life is worth living and you should keep appreciative.

Whenever I can, I try to participate :) I like meeting new couchsurfers. I absolutely enjoy showing other people my wonderful little city and exchange life stories and views on different things.

I love everything what makes me feel that I used my time properly and even maybe did something useful. I love those moments and experiences that I will always remember and smile about when I think back. I pretty much like doing whatever isn't a total waste of time. Most of my puberty was sitting in front of a screen and wasting my time. That is what I really don't enjoy doing with other people. I love getting to know other people and preferably in person. I love quiet atmospheres, cafes and great music.I love travelling, the spontaneous "run aways" the most. Me and my friends often decided to spontaneously go some place and all of a sudden we were just sitting in a bus going out of town or hitchhiking to some random places.I loved those moments and I would love to experience it with some other people as well. What make great moments special is sharing it with others.

I don't have many skills to share. I think I can be a great friend who is always going to be there for you when needed. I like to talk a lot (I actually never shut up) but I'm a great listener too! :) I believe we will have fun together no matter what, where, how!Music is my life, I would love to learn how to plan on any musical instrument and as well languages are my passion. Whenever I was going somewhere for a vacation with my family when I was a kid, I always bought a little dictionary with the language spoken in the country we were about to visit. This way I know some basic greetings and maybe sentences in few languages! I still love spanish the best though :) If someone could help me get better in spanish, I would really owe you a lot!
