ABOUT ME

We are very friendly, on the go....older couple who are quite active. Living "the dream" with a lovely man named Ron, just retired and new to Bend, Oregon. We love the great outdoors, traveling, making music with friends, writing, scuba diving, hiking, skiing, photography and so much more!

I have worked with the elderly doing physical therapy and am now doing music therapy with the elderly. I also teach and perform ukulele in my state of Oregon. My husband, Ron....and I also do a lot of songwriting & performing together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We love to host people that enjoy "articulating what they're wanting to do with the days they've been given to live". It's always interesting to hear people's stories.

We also enjoy "breaking bread" together.....especially when the guests cook the meal as a gratitude gift for us opening our home to them. It's a great way of saying thank you to the hosts for giving them a beautiful experience & comfy home.
We enjoy sharing our ideas about great places to hike, micro breweries and other ideas about exploring our town and Central Oregon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've been both hosts & guests and absolutely love CSing. It's a fabulous way to meet people from all over the world and share meals, laughs, conversations and just have a good time with others.

Interests

We are interested in meeting new people and hearing their stories and passions of living. I love everything about the positive aspects of life. Even coloring, doodling, whistling, whittling and so much more. Playing music for the elderly and children is one of my passions. I also love a good glass of wine and hot tub soaks with my hubby. We're both into photography, hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing,biking and being in the fresh air. Our latest love is traveling in our RV called "Happy Hour". It takes our camping experiences to a whole new level.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was called to be a "clown" at the bedside of a dying child. I performed some magic and played a song on my ukulele. It was the hardest and yet, the most powerful...inner soul work I have ever done. Truly a heart growing moment. Another amazing thing I've done is learning to scuba dive....especially since I was scared of the BIG OCEAN. I now love scuba diving and the underwater world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach ukulele to my couchsurfing friends when visiting...and learn about your travels, the place you call home and what your favorite ways of grabbing life are. Such as travels, cooking, volunteering, reading, making music......

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ron & I can share a "home-cooked" American meal, music, laughs, games and plenty of conversation. Also, good wine and a fun game of table tennis.
