About Me

Hi there!
I am 20 year old Chinese-American in my last year of university, studying English, Professional Writing, and French. I was born Los Angeles, California and attend university in Santa Barbara, CA. Currently, I live in Bordeaux, France for a study abroad program. I find great joy and wonder in discovering new places and connecting with diverse individuals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled with my sister during the Winter 2014, and we had some awesome couchsurfing hosts in Istanbul, Capadoccia & Amsterdam. It's a wonderful community and I would like to try to contribute/share as much I can provide.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked Lion's Head, Table Mountain and Devil's Peak (Cape Town, South Africa) in one long, grueling but breathtakingly beautiful, transformative journey. At one point of the day, I faced my crippling fear of heights by dangling my face off of a terribly high cliff sideways and watching the fog seem to run sideways.. Breathing in the clouds and the altitude, my trembling and rapid heart rate began to decline, as I started to meditate with my belly on the earth, my ears pressed against grainy sediment.
I asked myself why? Why am I afraid? Is there a reason to be afraid?
Heights don't bother me any more.

Countries I’ve Visited
