About Me

Hi! I'm in my late twenties and I grew up in Toronto, Canada (a beautiful country). A few months ago, I quit my job to travel around the world, which is something I've always wanted to do. I want to learn more about myself and what better way to do it than to open my eyes and perspectives to other cultures and to other fellow travellers/locals along the way. I'm interested in a lot of things, but yoga, holistic medicine, and permaculture farming are things I feel passionate about. I also love photography and hiking in the great outdoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because of all the great things I heard about this community and I would love to get to know the places I travel to from a local's eyes. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many different genres of music - I listen to mostly indie/folk, hip hop, R&B (especially the stuff from the 2000s!), and electronic/dance.

Movies - my all time favourite movies are Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight. I've read the transcript of the movies several times.

Books - so many books!! I've been on a non-fiction kick and I generally like reading self-help and eastern philosophy books. Although because my e-reader broke, I'm reading some fiction - The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho and Tracks by Robyn Davidson.

Podcasts - I love them, especially on long bus rides! My favourites are TED radio hour, Freakonomics, This American Life, and 99% Invisible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered for two weeks in Nepal to help with clearing rubbles sites left from the Earthquake that hit Nepal in 2014. It was an incredible experience meeting the people that were affected by the earthquake and seeing the results of our work and getting the site ready for them to build a new home.

Teach, Learn, Share

I recently received my yoga teaching training in Goa, India and cannot wait to spread the love of yoga to everyone! It's more than just a practice on the mat, it's a way of life. :)
