Overview
About Me
I am a currently transitioning to my master's program at BGSU! But I was working as a before and after school program supervisor for an elementary school and prior to that I was a Peace Corps (PC) Response volunteer in Liberia, West Africa. Before moving to Liberia, I also served as a PC volunteer in the Dominican Republic. I am very passionate about education/school and hope that my master's program will help me flourish in that regard.
Beyond that, Im pretty straightforward and blunt about things, so any questions, feel free to ask.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im on here to make new friends, and to see the world. Or part of it. I strongly believe that life is made of the moments shared with someone/people, and with everyday comes a new lesson. Whether it be learning a new word, or sharing a laugh, Im up for all of it. And well couchsurfing is a great avenue into all of that.
Interests
Photography. Even though I havent taken my camera (DSLR) out since I moved here, you'll still see me taking 20 thousand photos of everything with my phone or gopro. I love capturing moments. The sincerity that emanates with a smile or laugh. The love that shows through a kiss. I just love photography period.
I like to read. Like that sappy, mushy, love shiet. I am nonetheless a hopeless romantic.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music; where to even begin? I mean, I like EVERYTHING! Well except for hardcore metal; it just doesnt sound like music to me. But Im always down to listen to and give things a try.
Movies; bueno. This is also tuff because I watch a wide range of shiet except for scary movies. I am a big scardy cat. I will admit to that.
Books, way too many here as well. But as stated above, I like corny love shiet like The Fault in Our Stars or anything from Nicholas Sparks. But I also read things like Wicked, The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao, White Oleander, Harry Potter etc etc. *When you message me, be sure to list one of these books in the beginning of the message, this way I actually know you read my profile.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left my comfort zone for the unknown. Took a leap of faith with joining Peace Corps, and I am learning more about myself than I ever have in my 30 years of life.
I set out to change the world; only to realize that its changing me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn about other cultures and share mine as well. Whether it be the Dominican culture that I fell in love with, or the Liberian culture that I am currently living, or my Mexican American culture. I would more then likely share this through food, because Im def a fatty! Haha
