Overview
About Me
Hi there, My name is Cindy and I’m living and studying in Saarbrücken Germany in a student home. I’m a person that likes to bring people together and I do a lot of voluntary work all around the university. The environment is a topic that I care about a lot that’s also why I cut down on meat even though I’m not a full vegetarian all the time. If you want to impress me bring a traditional vegetarian dish a long :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since I’m a student I’m always on a tight budget but traveling is my passion. I think everyone no matter what their circumstances are deserves the chance to see the world. Also in my experience traveling is only as good as the people you meet on the way.
Interests
Apart from traveling of course...
I grew up on the Baltic Sea so I’m a big fan of water sports and the ocean. I especially love scuba diving and I have this silly dream to help save turtles somewhere around the world someday.
I started doing sports actively again about a year ago but I hate when it feels too much like sports. I like it more playful. Currently I’m trying to integrate Beach Volleyball, Table Tennis, Zumba, Tae Kwon Do, Spikeball and swimming in my week.
I love to cook and find new recipes especially from other cultures.
I’m a little philosopher, I like to hear and discuss unconventional views about life.
I love dancing and partying but at the same time appreciate a good book or a nice conversation while having a cup of tea.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a lot of different genres of music very much depending on my mood: electro swing, Indie rock, rap, Disney and anime openings... 😂
I like urban fantasy and I also enjoy self development/non-fiction books that are still light and witty (e.g. Malcolm Gladwell). Always up for recommendations.
I enjoy a lot of different movies but I often forget the titles 😅 I just don’t like horror movies and I sometimes get bored from crime movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived 2 years abroad.
Worked for non profit organizations.
Sky diving in NZ.
Cliff jumping on Mallorca.
Teach, Learn, Share
I collected some good recipes while I was traveling. Can definitely share them or learn some new ones.
I’m studying psychology so I’m up for good conversations about human natur or philosophical topics.
I like to improve my guitar skills since I’m not playing as much as I want to and I’m not as good as I want to be.
I can help with the German and English language and could use some help with my Italian. But I’m a little shy when it comes to that.
