My Mission, I have chosen to accept, is to live every day as if it were my last. To tackle every challenge and overcome it! To climb the moutain just to see the other side. I am here, I said! I know you see me, know I exist. I'm on a LIFE MISSION to Live!

ABOUT ME

I am a FLORIDA girl. I moved to St. Pete Fl when I was 7, so even tho I wasn't born here, I am a FLORIDA GIRL thru and thru (I bleed Orange and Blue - go Gators!), I have the spirit of Florida thru me. I finished High School in Gainesville Florida and graduated in 1980. Since then, I've lived so many places my friends write my address in pencil in their address books. I am a free spirit in heart.

I wear very little make-up, only sandals for my feet. I smile a LOT. I love life and all it has to offer. I'm the "cup is half full" kinda person. I talk to everyone, almost everywhere I go - so on the surface I seem very light in my personality. Don't let that fool you. I believe in gut feelings, I trust my sixth sences. I am crazy old fashioned for someone so seemingly breezy. I live my life as I want others to treat me. Please don't give me reason to dis-trust you. If I ever say I will do something, I do it. People count on me and I do expect same in return. I am blessed to have a good handful of long term friends who see life similarly, yet we are all so different. The little things, mean so much.

They tell me I have this "intereting" view of things in general. I see things some people never see unless I point them out. I love to people watch!

There's this big world out there, I'm just busting at the seams to embrace it all.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wanted to meet some local CS'ers so I planned a Meet Up in September of 2014. About 25 SW Florida folks came and we had a wonderful time!

UPDATE 2017. NOW I LIVE IN THE FRENCH QUARTER!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've recieved letters from several people traveling here, I hope I was able to direct them to some great places to go, even tho I couldn't join them without more notice.

I look forward to future getherings of local groups and will do my best to help or advise anyone coming in from out of this area.

Interests

Live music, beach's, great food, nice wine, interesting conversation. I garden, love the dirt! I enjoy building things. I get all happy at a fresh produce stand. My Norfolk Terriers keep me busy. I do accounting. I like to make jewelry for friends. Art and history - I'm there. When is Mardi Gras? Viva Las Vegas. Manhattan Beach in SoCal has great fish tacos.

I think I could go on ... but ... that's a good start.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the live concert experience. I enjoy all types of music but roots in Southern Rock (raised in Florida), old dance music, r&b, jazz, bluegrass, and a lot of current artists as well. So much great music, it's hard to say one over the other!

I do like it LIVE & LOUD.

Unlike most people, I don't watch a lot of tv or movies. I'm a craft person, I like to build stuff and make things. I tend to float around in my creativity and just can't sit for hours watching tv. I would rather be DOING SOMETHING.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to say one. I've hiked over The Rocky Moutains and across The Grand Canyon. I lived on Guam in the early 80's. I've traveled through almost every state in the America's (not Washington, Alaska, Rhode Island, Meine). I've parasailed over the beach here in SW Florida. I go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans EVERY YEAR for about 15+ years now. I LOVE NYC. Viva Las Vegas!
