About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel and my eat my way around the world, learn about different cultures and meet people from all over!
ABOUT ME
A few years ago I quit my job to go traveling and the solo travel opened me up in many positive ways. I met so many awesome people and saw so many amazing things along the way, needless to say I'm hooked on traveling now! I've since visited many other countries and have so many more places I liked to see. At the top of my list are India, Japan and Myanmar.
Currently I'm living in Toronto, my hometown. Unfortunately I can't host right now but maybe I can show you around or offer some fun suggestions for places to visit while you're here. Say hello!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't couch surfed yet, but am excited to try!
Interests
Food is probably my biggest interest, I love eating (obviously!), cooking, baking & trying new things. I taught myself how to preserve my own jams and pickles and taught workshops about it which I'm pretty proud of.
When I'm feeling creative I like sketching pictures, especially of my travels.
I'm not a good dancer, but I like dancing and I love seeing live music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On my second week in Granada I went to these natural hot springs at night in the middle of a field. I could barely see the way with my tiny lantern of candlelight but could hear the water gushing from the springs. The water was hot and it was hard to see people through the steam against the cold night air. Everything was quiet and you could see the stars above. It was the first time I´ve skinny dipped and it was one of th best nights of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my cooking skills. I think Chinese food is probably my speciality. My knife skills aren´t too shabby either since I took a cooking class for three months last year.
I have a bunch of random skills, a bit of a jack of all trades. Some other things I can help with/share are:
- Canning/Preserving foods
- Photoshop
- Basic Knitting
- Gardening
- Drawing/Painting
- Decor(I used to work at a paint store, during university)
- Making Jewelry
Things I´d like to learn:
- How to play the ukulele
- Smoking fish
- Making charcuterie
- Tasting wines
- Swing dancing
- How to whistle really loud with two fingers
- Cooking foods from different countries
- Embroidery
- Crocheting
These are just some things that come to mind, but I love learning new things!
