About Me
Quitting the sitting life and hitting the road.
I'm a documentary filmmaker living in Milwaukee, WI. and after years of sitting in front of the computer editing videos and social media-ing I decided to become homeless...kinda. Earlier in 2015 I bought myself a 96 Dodge Ram van and outfitted it for life on the road. For the next year or more I'm going to be traveling around, looking for a new place to live and finding new subjects for my documentaries.
I'm pretty laid back and calm, but love being around people of all energy levels. I'm more of a listener and observer and I really enjoy people's stories and understanding more about people through their storytelling. That also happens to be the driving force behind most of my documentary work.
I'm down for just about anything and will answer almost any call to adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I moved out of my apartment and into my van. The van has become sort of a multifunctional home/kitchen/bed/office. I'm going to travel the US over the next year and I'd like to make some friends everywhere I go. Also a shower would be nice once in a while...
Interests
My interests have always varied. Some call me a "dabbler." I like to try a little bit of everything, but film and music have been the most consistent interests in my life.
Oh and I love weirdos. And beer. And various chips and dips.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love all kinds of music. Just to name a few: Deerhunter, Mac Demarco, Girls, Gram Parsons, Miles Davis, Thee Oh Sees
Movies: French New Wave, Terrence Malick, Tarantino, Tarkovsky, Paul Thomas Anderson.
Books: Lately I've been really into esoteric stuff like Terrence McKenna, G.I. Gurdjieff, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Castaneda. I want to learn more about the occult in general. Always open to book recommendations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I documented the 2015 Rainbow Family Gathering in Michigan. It was quite an experience and I feel as though I am not fully back yet.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: better ways to watch movies, how to grow mushrooms, how to quit your job.
I want to finally learn spanish (yes, disgraceful considering that I grew up in a spanish speaking household). I'd like to learn more about farming and foraging.
I can share my stories, my tea, and my favorite films and music.
