ABOUT ME
As many people on Couchsurfing I'm passionate about traveling, seeing new places, making new experiences... I'm interested in people and their different ways of life and I found that traveling is a good way to meet fascinating personalities, locals and as well as other travellers. Hanging out with them, talking, exchanging experiences, having a beer (or two...) were always the best part of my travels.
I love being outside and in nature, hiking flat grounds and high mountains. I'm also fascinated with big cities and their individual dynamics. Lying on the beach is not my thing, I want to be active and explore. There is so much to see.
Also, I own a cute little pineapple (it is a stuffed animal... fruit?) who travels around the world with me and people I trust. She (yes it's a female pineapple) has seen so many places
PHILOSOPHY
Drink Cognac and lay back.
And don't worry to much about what people think. I know its an easy thing to say but I do believe this is a skill one can learn :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES
My couchsurfing experiences were great! I hosted people rather unofficially (as this was not organized through the CS website) when I was living in Yangon, Myanmar. I loved showing them around a city I came to know quite well and also discovered new places with them.
I surfed a few times through the homepage and met amazing and very helpful and generous people. Twice I contacted hosts at really short notice when I was stuck and they saved me.
I think the best way to get to know a place is through meeting people who are living there. They know all the "secret spots" and most of all the best places to eat! Sometimes you get the chance to see a city through a local's eyes, and this is the experience I am searching for.
Interests
Trying new food! Any new food!
Reading, but I also recently discovered audiobooks and I love to get my mind lost listening to a story
Traveling.... as you know already ;)
Crafting - the only thing I really have a talent for
Different people and cultures. I am interested in religion and spirituality although I am not a religious/spiritual person myself
I studied Anthropology, Economics and Public Health. So I took some academic detours and I scratched on the surface of many different topics. I am happy to discuss those and exchange viewpoints and ideas!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies: every Wes Anderson movie, a few Tarantino movies, Big Fish, Trainspotting, Casablanca
Most favorite of all times: Probably La Grande Bellezza
I don't listen enough to music, basically because I am too lazy to search for new music. So I stick to my old favorites. I like rap music, old school Hip Hop, good electronic music... hate Dubstep...
I would recommend The Innocent Anthropologist for everyone who likes to know about anthropology
Ham on Rye for a fucked up biography
A widow for one year, John Irving's best in my opinion
Unterleuten, a german gem
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
seeing Lake Wanaka from above, camping in the Outback, diving in the Pacific Ocean, drinking Mojitos in Havana, riding a motorbike in Vietnam, sleeping in a village in Northern Myanmar, skiing in the Rocky Mountains, hiking in the Caucasus
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook kinda... maybe? I am willing to cook for you and you can decide :)
