About Me

CURRENT MISSION

be happy!

ABOUT ME

Its hard to believe that Im in Ireland for nearly 11 years (well I took some longer holidays in the meantime)
Be warned:It is very common to overstay a few months visit in Ireland,It happened to me and some of my friends.
I was working as archaeologist in Ireland (with small breaks for traveling or getting unemployed;) which generally meant digging ditches, trenches and different holes. However it did happen that sometimes I spent few months working in office. After my last trip to Thailand there was no more archaeology digs and I found myself looking for a new job. For a while I worked as a charity shop manager in Gort, where 1/5 of the town population are Brazilians. Then I opened my own little thrift shop,Community Aid. Nearly 5 years later I still do it ;) There r few jobs you can take your kid with you and have friends popping in for tea or coffee.

I became full time adult when my daughter was born ;) I didnt have time yet to host anyone since she was born. However Couchsurfing was a big part of my life before that so would love to contribute again torwards it.
I enjoy traveling without planning ahead, getting lost in 'just arrived' places, learning other cultures, laughing, meeting new people, dancing even though Ive never learn how to do it properly;)and yes drinking too, especially home made stuff..
Oh, I dont like meat,so not eating it, however Im not true veggie - love seafood a lot!

PHILOSOPHY

***Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower. ~Hans Christian Anderson

***Life is like a ten-speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use. ~Charles Schulz

***Sunshine creates happiness, and I create myself. Nights are long and life is predominantly good. Wind is refreshing. Tea is wisdom. Do the best you can, and be good to yourself so that you can above all be good to others. ~Jessi Lane Adams

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend told me about CS when we were in Brazil and almost immediately I copied his idea..Since then I hosted and stayed on other couches almost equally.I was also organizing Cs meetings in Galway. Im able to host max 1-2 people per wk. so be understanding,CS is important part of my life, not my life itself ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed on many couches before CS, however officially I joined couchsurfing in Brazil, where it worked perfectly so I decided to continue my adventure with CS.
I think its the best way for me to get known the world and people..

Interests

Well its hard to precise but will do my best:
Definitely culinary archaeology (which is mixture of my two favourites: food and archaeology),popping bubble wrap, vintage fashion, history, travelling, psytrance and arts, especially by painters like Klimt, Mucha, Hopper, Bruegel, Schiele, Magritte, Dali, Munch, Modigliani, Beksinski, Olbinski..
