ABOUT ME

all about me...? well if i knew all about me i would probably not need to do couch surfing and meet other parts of the humanity! Because i feel that's in meeting the others you finally know who you are. And who you are is also an evolution... so very hard to sum up in a few words!

For the facts: i came back to studying (human rights) after having worked for a while. I'm 28 but i always have to think to remember my age. I have no particular talent or amazing abilities (i wish i had, especially to stop masacrating my guitar every time i take it!). I just really like to exchange with interesting people!

PHILOSOPHY

i've learned much more from people than from books.
i still want to learn and never stop till i die.
i sometimes feel the perfection would be two lifes in a raw: one to learn and make mistakes; the second one to put what you have learnt into practice, avoiding the mistakes...
but unless you're a cat you only have one life, so all the challenge is in learning, acting and not doing too many mistakes at the same time. Hard! But passionating!!!
I deeply feel everything is connected.
I like the simple extraordinary. I see more extraordinary things in simple things, events, gestures, peoples, animals, than in supposedly spectacular things.

Interests

learning from people and seeing the beautiful in people even though there are also quite dark sides in the human nature too...

I'm interested in the human and everything conected to it, be it the culture and music, way of being, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

i'm very crap in movies. I still believe Chaplin is an all time ultimate genius.
I like movies where nothing is happening, with very few blabla, like 'a scene at the sea' by Takeshi Kitano.
For music, my favourite one is all the concrete sounds i hear in the street in the nature etc. Looks stupid but i swear a snowee landscape has a specific sound.
More concretley i really like the bands: Beirut and Andrew Bird. A lot of music from everywhere when you can feel the power of emotions presented under different cultural approaches... an djazz... and much more.
Books: i have trouble reading books from a to z because i've spent all my short life readig only pieces of books, magazines, articles, and wikipedia page and putting them together because i feel deeply everything is connected. 'Treasure island' from Robert Louis Stevenson is the first book i read and it will probably be by all time favourite ever...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

not so incredible according to the standards but it is the way you feel it:
seeing the sun rise through my 11th floor bedroom windows in Beirut; feeling the heat, sun and passion in Seville; being lost in the november fog of Venice; harvesting honey in my hometown in France; playing with my dog; feeling nearly alone on earth in the desert in Palmyra; living some improbable 5 months in a very small village on the Croatian/Bosnian border; drinking litters and litters of limon ice tea in summer; going through the highlands up to Ulapool, small fisherman village in Scotland...
many other amazing very simple things to come i hope!!!
