ABOUT ME
I like a good adventure, a good party, and a good conversation.
It's fun comparing culture and how different people operate.
I have no clue why I studied economics in college... there are so much other interesting things in the world right now i'm kinda psyched on people, music, and language.
I own a non-profit teaching a performance arts program to kids.
I'm a beginner in french and love language exchange opportunities.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is uncertain.. eat dessert first
you don't find yourself, you create yourself
'I'm not afraid of heights, spiders, or blood... I'm afraid of getting old before I do everything I want to do.' i'm half quoting another CSer
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting
for people new to SF i like to help make your plan. I have a pretty extensive list of things that i've done here so tell me what you're into!
BEFORE YOU SEND ME A REQUEST:
I only know my schedule 7 days in advance so if your trip is in 1 month the answer will be "maybe"
Please have at least 1 reference. This is very easy to get by meeting with a local couch surfer before you start your trip.
Please take some time to develop your profile.
The most important thing in CS for safety is knowing who you will be dealing with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I lived in Europe I hosted a dozen or so people and surfed a handful of times. San Francisco roommates have been less understanding of the CS culture, but i'll bring them around!
Interests
I usually make french toast in the morning for myself and whomever is around.
Good food is a motivating factor for me.. I love to cook.
I really want to learn French... Communication is important
In San Francisco I teach a performance arts poetry class to school kids.
I go out salsa dancing 2 or 3 nights a week.
I'm also pretty active out-doors. My favorite sports include BeerPong, basketball, futbol, swimming, badmittin, rock climbing, yoga, and outdoor chess

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a bus across Hawaii (Oahu) to surf the North Shore. Traveling alone, its fun to meet people. That day I hitch-hiked to and from different beaches. Surfing was fun but the journey... sitting in the open cab of a truck full of surfboards in the warm rain completely exhausted that was amazing.
I did a 2.5 hour hike through a completely rugged trail to bungee jump off a bridge and then hike back kinda getting lost but following the river (all w/ friends in 80's workout clothes.)
I made the donut burger 10 minutes after seeing it done on Man VS Food... It was pretty delicious
