About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'd like to meet like minded world travelers and open my home to people who can teach me anything new
ABOUT ME
My girlfriend Rachel and I have decided to ditch the rat race here in Miami and move across country to my favorite city Portland, Oregon! I've convinced her we should simplify our lives and take a couple of months and see some great cities and meet some amazing people along the way! We're planning on re-connecting with old friends and hopefully starting some life-long new friendships too.
PHILOSOPHY
If I'm afraid of it or I've never done it then count me in!I believe that life gives us invitations from time to time and that we should do our best to accept them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted several travelers and have had great experiences with all of them. I've also traveled with fellow couchsurfers through New Orleans, San Antonio, and Santa Fe. Also thru Savannah and Asheville.
Interests
I'm a really good cook! I love to eat at out of the way mom and pop joints (shacks are the best!. Dinner with friends. Travel Travel Travel! I'm usually up for anything or any new experience. If I'm afraid of it or I've never done it then count me in! I love paddle boarding, biking, climbing, hiking, camping...anything outside really. I'd like to learn to surf and to kite surf also. I'm a pilot and have several skydives logged.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like just about anything when it's played live. I've seen some really fantastic blues and folk performances. Deadmau5, etc., as well. I just finished reading Full Dark, No Stars by Steven King, but I'll read just about anything that catches my interest(usually books Rachel has just finished). I see mostly Indies via netflix, but I love a cool movie house too. Can't wait to see "Moonrise Kingdom"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After leaving California when I was four years old and living all over the east coast and midwest,I was able to visit the West Coast again last year. I went right to beach in Monterey. When I got there I knew I was home. It was a very emotional moment for me. Also My only trip to Europe. It was way too short a trip and I have to go back. Just about everything I saw and experienced while over there was beautiful. The sights were amazing, but the the PEOPLE too! i think the Europeans live right and I try to emulate them as much as I can.
