ABOUT ME

I just graduated from law school, and took the Virginia Bar Exam, however really hoping not to become anything lawyer-like whatsoever. I mostly worked in international environmental law at the Nature Conservancy, and public criminal defense, but am now dappling until I figure out my next move.

I love outdoorsy stuff like hiking and swimming. I also love adventurous stuff like skydiving and scuba diving. My motto is to try anything once.

I love Northern Virginia and grew up around D.C. It's a nice place with lots of history, good cupcake joints, and about 20 mins away from a bunch of orchards and horse farms. Its the perfect mix of city life and a little bit of country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent the summer of '05 couch hoping in England and it was pretty awesome! Also, first few weeks of Ireland with an AMAZING host and fun family.. They rock! I met lifelong friends around the world and cannot imagine what life would be like without them at this point (no matter how corny that actually sounds. Always finding new and lovely people I otherwise wouldn't encounter.

Music: Better than Ezra, 80s pop music like Bon Jovi and Cyndi Lauper, Train, Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin is one of my all time favorites!
Books: Time Traveler's Wife, Any Bill Bryson (amazing travel writer), Shakespeare, Dracula, Harry Potter, I loooove to read and will take any and all recommendations

I'm pretty well read and have theater experience so anything I can help you with in the realm of liberal arts I will try. Also, Psych was my other major and I like seeing why people do the things they do. I worked in health education and substance abuse counseling so if anything in my background intrigues you or you think will help you let me know and I would love to help
