ABOUT ME

I am from Columbus, Ohio and I went to university in Kentucky, (yes where the chicken comes from.) In England I am studying Forensic Psychology to see if I like it before I continue my education.
I'm a happy and outgoing person who makes friends easily. My family is a loud bunch of people with many different personalities, and I love them for it even as we fight because of it. I am fiercely loyal to those most important to me.
Other than that, there is too much about me to possibly say on this, so just ask. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Don't sweat the small stuff.
Try anything once.
Talk to strangers on the bus, in the grocery, in queues...you never know who you may meet or what you may learn. And smile!!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only just joined, and I am looking for places to see, things to experience and people to meet. I am a student now (and live in student accomodations) but eventually I would like to host other world travellers when I have the space. Until then, I don't mind showing anyone around Preston, even if I can't provide a place to stay!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: you name it, I pretty much like it...if not, I at least tried. (except scary movies!!)
Music: usually any type... fast, slow, soft, lullabies, country, folk songs, clubbing music, hip hop, American country, rock, alternative, traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, and any other cultures. I listen to it all.
Books: One of my favorites is the China Garden. I love all sorts, mystery, a bit of sci fi, fantasy, of course romance...
**It's hard to say that I have any favorites, no one thing is better than another, they're just different. It changes with the time, day, mood...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've seen...uhmmm.
Like everything else, there are way way too many things in this world that are amazing I honestly can't say. I have seen beautiful sunsets, colors, people...
One of the most amazing things and best decisions I made in my life is to get on a plane and fly across the ocean for this term.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what I teach others really, except that no one has to grow up completely! One somewhat unique thing about me is that I know a fair amount of American Sign Language(I sometimes forget my surroundings and sign to people who don't know it...oops!). I don't mind teaching people sign or answering questions about Deafness and Deaf culture.
