About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to see as much of the world as I can, as long as I can, meeting great people along the way!

ABOUT ME

I'm 24 years old, and a recent University graduate. I got my BA in Creative Writing and Foreign Languages (minor in Psychology) in an alternative learning program at my university in California.

I have studied French in France and Senegal, and worked in London. I'm currently an ALT (assistant language teacher) with the JET Programme in Japan. I teach English in a little junior high school in the Japanese countryside.

I speak decent French and I know enough of German, Japanese and Wolof to get by. I enjoy studying languages because they can open up the world to you to unexpected ways.

I think life is too short to waste, so I say, try anything once!

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live is my personal philosophy. I think there are an infinite number of ways to live a happy, fulfilled life. I want to see as many of the different ways human beings on this planet do that.
When I travel, I believe in "take nothing, leave nothing", except for interpersonal exchanges.
I live to have no regrets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent some time living in the bush in Senegal, and the people of those tribes taught me how much privilege I have. I don't want to waste my good fortune, not even for one single day.
