About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Spend as little time studying and as much time travelling as I can, while still graduating this year!
ABOUT ME
I am British and Canadian (although I have spent most of my life in Canada), and I am currently doing a study abroad program at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I will be graduating after this semester and will then return home to Canada, where I hope to get a job in the non-profit sector. While I am here and I am trying to make the best of my European experience by doing as much travelling as possible and getting to know new people.
PHILOSOPHY
I live life for good conversations with close friends, walking and exploring, getting lost in strange places, and finding things I didn't expect. I want to discover things and collect stories, both through my own adventures and through learning about other people's lives and experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I attend the weekly Couch surfing gatherings in Rotterdam on Tuesday evenings, and am open to any other kind of social hang-out. Unfortunately I do not have a couch to offer right now as I am living in student housing.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite authors include Margaret Atwood, Ian McEwan, Frank McCourt, Joanne Harris, and the Bronte sisters.
I like most romantic comedy or drama films. The Bridget Jones movies are my all-time favourites because they tell the story of my life. But I also love to re-watch Pride and Prejudice and Breakfast at Tiffany's whenever I get the chance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved from a small English village to a Canadian hobby farm where my family owned horses, llamas, chickens, and ducks. We lived in a log cabin in the mountains with no central heating so we had to light fires in the winter to keep warm. I rode western in the local horse shows and helped take care of the farm in my spare time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Introversion is not the same as shyness. Introverts enjoy being around people, but prefer smaller groups and shorter, quieter gatherings to large parties. Introverts may come across as quiet and reserved at first, but get one talking and you'll find they have plenty to share.
