I'm traveling across Asia for the next 6 months, pursuing a "location independent" lifestyle, meeting new people, and seeing the world!

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Chris, I'm a glorified ape that builds websites, philosophizes about humanity, and generally stumbles around Planet Earth making a fool of myself. I have a zillion hobbies and interests. Right now, I'm pretty much just traveling, experimenting with this "digital nomad" lifestyle stuff, and meeting YOU!

PHILOSOPHY

I've currently reached a point in my life where I simply need to travel. I've spent too long in America, and I've finally reached a point where I have the money, means, and motivation to go explore all different parts of the world and see as much as possible before I decide to inevitably go back to America and trade in all of my freedom and fun for your regular capitalist life :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I *love* movies of all kinds. I've seen most of the IMDB top 250, and currently want to see more foreign films. Favorite directors include Tarantino, Nolan, Kubrick, Danny Boyle, Ridley Scott, etc.

I *love* music of most kinds :). I'm really into blues, rock, anything with a guitar. I've been listening to a lot of underground Hip Hop lately (Mostly the Minnesota / Oakland varieties, with some Watsky and Big L sprinkled in).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just got done scuba diving and swimming with giant sea turtles. I am now addicted to scuba diving and swimming with giant sea turtles. PADI dive master INC.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm wildly knowledgable in almost every area of web software design, development, and maintenance. I've done all sorts of work on HTML, Javascript, Rails, Go, and other websites, and have been immersed in "startup culture" / web marketing for businesses for the last couple of years. I'd love to help with any web-related questions on any project you're working on.

In addition, I've tutored about 6-12 people learning to code for the last year, so if you're embarking on a path of learning web development, teaching is my passion :).

Other than that, I'm pretty friggin useless.
