ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with degrees in History and Biochemistry, and am now pursuing a position through Teach for America in order to play a part in ameliorating the educational and broader social disparities that exist in the US. Throughout the past few years, I have taken advantage of any and every opportunity to explore new places -- I spent a month living in a villa just outside of Florence, Italy; I stayed in a remote rainforest outpost while traveling throughout Ecuador, and returned to a coastal nature reserve the following summer to volunteer; I went to Vietnam to gain a firsthand look at some of the places and people I learned about in my studies of the Vietnam War; and I have also traveled to Canada, France, Israel, Mexico, and Morocco. In every case, the most memorable moments from my travel experiences involved getting to know local people and fellow travelers. I've found that connecting with people is what really enables you to connect with a place, and that is why I want to participate in the CouchSurfing community!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am most interested in participating in CS as a surfer, and in meeting fellow travelers through CS activities. I would also like to be a CS host after I move this summer!
