I'm a 30 something network engineer. I've travelled extensively throughout Europe and have lived in Dubai and Hong Kong.

I am a member of the local astronomical society, I drive a V8 Jaguar but also have a more sensible all electric Nissan leaf. I've got a games console collection and am of a technical networking/engineering background. I have 2 amazing fishtanks, love travelling and have a wonderful Girlfriend Sarah of over 5 years.

Sarahs passion is Art and travelling, and she enjoys meeting couchsurfers too.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have many international friends and love meeting people from different backgrounds and being able to swap stories. I have met some truly great people on couchsurfers before, one even ended up renting the spare room for 6 months!

Hope to host a few people to build up good feedback, so I can stay with other people. It will allow us to travel further than before! We think its good to meet as many people as possible, as everyone you meet leaves their own unique impression on your life.

兴趣

Cars (love my Jaguar as well as all electric Nissan Leaf) my PS3/4, cycling, travelling, gym and meeting new people. Always up to trying something new, and ill do anything once!

I've got a full house, sharing with my girlfriend and 2 other male flatmates (one polish one shrilankan), and 2 house cats. We are all clean & educated. You'll have a choice of 2 comfortable sofas to sleep on, and possibly an inflatable bed if you cant sleep. The Sofas are in a living room which is used, however when hosting I'm happy for you to close the door for some privacy.

I recognise that while travelling you need access to facilities you wouldn't normally get in the normal hotel or hostel. Thats why im happy to offer an at home experience during your stay:

1) Access to milk and cereal in the morning to start the day with energy
2) Shower and spare towel if required
3) Access to high speed internet/wifi to keep yourself connected
4) A printer for boarding cards, research etc
5) Fridge space so you can keep food for a few days and a kitchen to cook in, so you dont always have to eat out
6) Free local GiffGaff simcards to keep your costs low

Im a busy professional currently working 7 days a week, so I wont be able to offer any guided tours around Derby, although if my schedule permits I have no hesitation to go out for a quick beverage.
