Favorite directors: Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino, Woody Allen, Jim Jarmusch, Billy Wilder, the Coen Brothers, Emir Kustrica, Pedro Almodovar, Francis Ford and Sofia Coppola, Won Kar-Wai ...
Films I watched and liked recently: The Night of the Hunter (old film noir, interesting mood, great cinematography, probably Robert Mitchum's best film ever), Death Proof (yeah, Tarantino), Harry Potter.

Music: At home mostly alternative and indy pop/rock. I started listening to jazz and classic lately and think I like it. I also like to dance to electronic music. Here is my playlist from last week: Ryan Adams (not to be mistaken for Brian Adams), The Good, the Bad and the Queen, J. S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerts, Belle and Sebastian, Leonhard Cohen, LCD Soundsystem, Amy Winehouse, Stephen Malkmus, Lee Hazelwood Tribute Album.

Books: I read about the same amount non-fiction as fiction.
Favorite Fiction: Water Music (T.C. Boyle), Elementary Particles (Houellebecq), Huckleberry Finn, Jitterburg Perfume, The Corrections, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Favorite Non-Fiction: The Selfish Gene (Dawkins), Metamagical Themas (Hofstadter), Goedel Escher Bach (also Hofstadter), How the Mind works (S. Pinker), The Black Swan (N. Taleb)
