ABOUT ME

I am a chill girl whose happy time includes music and lounging. I am very concerned with humanities impact on this precious earth, so try to be as conscious of a consumer as possible. I think it is important to breathe and not take things too seriously...I love to travel, but enjoy being stationary so I can maintain my garden and grow my own produce/herbs/tea/sprouts... and anything else! mmm, I want an avocado tree!

PHILOSOPHY

I do not assign my thoughts/beliefs to any religion per se but try to live with compassion and respect towards every living thing. I feel that since humanity has reached a level of heightened intellect, we must also accept responsibility for our actions. This is why I believe that animal slaughter and unchecked mass-consumption is reckless and shameful. On a non-preachy note, I also feel that there is much beauty in the world and kindness is more rampant than most perceive.

I have quasi-participated in CS by helping friends entertain their guests and have stayed with some friends who have happened to be members too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had great experiences! Most people have had similar interests and great hospitality. It is also awesome to meet people in new cities to help get acclimated.

Interests

I am interested in widening my perspective on life because I feel that all we have (as far as 'purpose') is our experiences and ability to impact others. I strive to help with sustainability initiatives and am particularly interested in rooftop gardening/green infrastructure. I also love my '76 schwinn and balloons with confetti in them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies to quote include Caddy Shack, Billy Madison and anything Disney. I also enjoy watching old BBC such as Monty Python's Flying Circus and Absolutely Fabulous. Adult Swim makes me happy happy joy joy. All in all I also love foreign films and cannot even start to make a list...
Music is a huge part of my life, especially since I was a radio DJ/Business Manager for 4 years...if I could go to a live show every night I would be a happy chickadee. I am an avid lover for Jazz, early century French Folk and Bluegrass! But my good dependable playlists are ever-changing and typically consist of anything from chill stuff like ambulance ltd. or black moth super rainbow to neutral milk hotel/shuggie otis/m.ward etc... I am excited to get into some local San Francisco music too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just got back from Central America and cannot get those black sand beaches out of my head! Not to mention seeing sloths doing their slothy thing right out of arms reach

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people about some good music and great recipes for veggie cuisine! I love having palette discussions, which I define as tea, cushions and chill-factor.
