Hi, I’m Clair, a US/German dual national, born and raised in Germany. I have lived in Spain for three years (Ibiza), traveled India, spent 5 years in Vilcabamba, Ecuador, and am currently in Michigan, USA.

My first decades as an adult, I spent as a freelance graphic designer, and very immersed in the Frankfurt/Main art and music scene. For a few years, I was also active in the jazz/bossa, house/techno, and balearic music scene, singing live, as well as recording tracks. It was a great and invigorating time.

Today, I am a certified and experienced Systemic and Family Constellation Facilitator, as well as certified practitioner of Dr. Bradley Nelson's Emotion Code. In the past two years, I have developed my own technique to eliminate all blockages from our life: CLAIRING (clairing.com).

Healthy food is important to me, but I am not uptight about it. I'm slowly fading into being vegan, but not totally there yet. I like cooking – whether raw, vegan or pasta with cheese … and even German Sauerbraten. All in moderation.

I love animals, I adore cats, and I spent years taking care of up to 16 horses.

Even though I joined the Couchsurfing community in 2010, I haven’t had the need to make use of it yet. I don’t have any referrals on this platform, but can send some darn good house sit references upon request.

The concept is good, and I think it's a great way to widen one's horizon … in many ways.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With only 12 hours of consideration time, I signed a rental contract in a foreign country, of which I didn’t know the language. I knew I would not be able to live with the question „What if…?“, had I not made the move.
