I am a 3rd year student studying Innovation and Entrepreneurship at a tiny liberal arts college in the United States (Hendrix College). I love cooking, hiking, listening to live music of all varieties and dancing to any kind of music. My parents are environmental conversationalists and a passion for social environmental concern is a very big part of who I am as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am excited about exploring the world through travel, and grateful for the opportunity to learn about a new place from a local perspective. I am specifically signing up for a trip to Mauritius, where I will be visiting a friend at the African Leadership College but would like to get to know some of the local culture as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a great many books and tend to read more than I watch movies or listen to music. I am really not a picky consumer of these things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have started my own business while in college and pulled together a community mural. Some of my biggest pride comes from mentoring young people and serving my community when I can.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about philanthropy programs (non-profits, organizations created to solve problems) and community-oriented solutions to issues that are global or local.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share some American foods, help out with garden or kitchen or housekeeping work, and be present for conversation as the host is available.
