About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend and I are traveling this summer before beginning graduate school. We would love the opportunity to meet people along the way! We are both avid hikers and enjoy backpacking, skiing, climbing, and biking in California, particularly the Lake Tahoe region and the Sierra Nevada mountains. We hope to spend most of our time this summer hiking in the Alps (primarily Switzerland) and climbing in the Cascades (Oregon and Washington) and Rockies (Montana, Colorado, Utah). I lived in the International House at UC San Diego for two years and it was definitely one of the highlights of my college experience. I loved taking people home with me over breaks and even had the chance to visit a number of my friends and roommates after graduating. Experiencing their hometowns with them felt like a completely unique experience no travel book could ever provide. I'm looking forward to hosting guests when we are settled back in California this fall. I love showing people around this great state!

Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely loved the Poisonwood Bible. I'm just wrapping up Cutting for Stone and I think it will be one of my favorite books. Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson made me laugh so hard that I cried a number of times, including in public places. Slightly embarrassing, but totally worth it. Great book!
