Hello,
My name is Claire and i'm a 28year old Canadian who is currently travelling around Australia. I went to university to become a Veterinary Technican and have been working at a vet hospital for the past 3 years. As you can guess I love animals, all shapes and sizes. I have always wanted to travel so I quit my job and started a journey to find my passion in life. I started out in south east asia for 3 months by myself and then landed in australia and I have been here for 3 years. I absolutely love travelling and I hope I can continue on for the rest of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to start couch surfing to meet like minded people. I want to experience the world as much as I can and meet interesting people who share the same ideals as me. I dont feel going to hotels is a good way to see different cities; I think meeting the locals and gaining their knowledge is best to find the fun things to do in a city. I hope to make as many friends as possible on my journey and share great experiences with them.

Interests

I love to travel obviously but I also enjoy being active. I love playing sports mostly volleyball, swimming and I really want to learn how to surf. I have a huge passion for movies but what I love most is hanging out with friends. I mostly like doing things ive never done before especially when im in a new city or differnt country. I like being spontaneous and adventurous. I also have a passion for food and I am always hungry.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music especially rock, house, hip hop, pop but I cant stand country music. Thats a big no no. I absolutely adore the simpsons and other comedy animation shows.
I love all movies it's hard to have a favourite but I reallg enjoy action movies, ones that involve superheros such as avengers, guardian of the galaxy, thor, etc. I also enjoy very well acted and directed movies like inception, mandella, contact, most movies that are nominated for oscars and such.
I enjoy reading books but I also read many medical journals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best experiences I've ever had was swimming with an elephant. It was the most fun you could ever have, although i did get lots of water up my nose. And the best part of the whole experience was that the elephant (whose name was melina) had just as much fun as I did, splashing water on me and everyone else.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love playing card games and always like to teach new people some fun games to try. I love learning other languages but alas I am not fluent in anything yet. In general I love doing new things and trying all things different.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope i can help out at home, cleaning and tiding up (i am somewhat of a clean freak). I also would love to help out if the host has animals like walking dogs and i can offer my services if they need help with said animals like doing nail trims things like that. I would mostly love to share stories and experiences with my host.
