Overview
About Me
Born and raised in North Carolina, I grew up in a big family, loving the outdoors, and eating as much ice cream as I could get my hands on. I've done lots of traveling within the USA. Last summer I led a group of high schoolers on a trail crew on the Appalachian Trail in Maine. I have also done other trail work in various National Parks like the Great Sand Dunes (Colorado), Isle Royale (Michigan), and Denali (Alaska).
I was raised Quaker and moved to Atlanta in Sept 2016 to participate in a social justice oriented and Quaker-based fellowship program. As part of the program I live in an intentional community with seven other fellows.
I haven't done much international traveling but love meeting new folks, learning their stories, and discovering how lives can intersect.
Things I like to do with friends regularly:
- cook and devour food
- share life-giving poems and books
- find the most delicious ice cream shops in town
- go on biking adventures
- hike to a local swim spot
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love to be in the company of new and old friends!
My current fellowship ends in July and I am taking the month of August to travel. My mother's family has roots in Norway so I am traveling there for the first time. I will be visiting with some relatives and hoping to meet new friends along the way.
