I grew up in Oregon, spent some time living in Belgium, and now go to school for film in Portland. I love the Pacific Northwest but am looking forward to experiencing other countries and cultures once i've finished school.

Interests

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest has helped me foster a love for all things related to nature. I like to hike, sit by rivers, and go for walks. I spent a brief year living/traveling in Europe and it wasn't nearly enough. I grew up in a musical family and using music as a way to share with people has always been a lovely part of my life. I've fostered an interest in filmmaking and films from an early age and find that film appreciation is largely underrated and an important thing. I love good natural food from the earth. I've spent some time working on an organic farm which helped me appreciate the work that goes into producing good quality food for little profit as well as knowing where it comes from.

Music, Movies, and Books

People assume that since i'm studying film, I have ONE favorite film. This is not the case. My own film appreciation is constantly changing and being expanded. If I were to name some films/ filmmakers that truly never go out of style in my mind- I would say Ingmar Bergman, The thin man series, Antonioni, Ozu, film noirs, Los Olvidados, Jules and Jim, My Dinner With Andre, Winter Light, Agnes Varda, All Creatures Great and Small...and much more.
