About Me

Dear everyone,
I live in the north of France both in Arras and in Lille. I study languages, especcially English mostly because I love travelling. I've travelled a lot in Europe (Austria, Spain, Malta, Italy...) but to me three trips changed my life. First, I went to NZ for 3 months and after that trip I decided to learn English... and to continu to travel. I spent a year in Dublin as an Erasmus student an I have to say that I fell in love with the country! Lastly, I worked in England for a year as a 'teacher' and after I travelled everywhere in the UK so it was a fantastic year as well. I am now studying culture because learning a language is not enough, knowing a culture is essential.
I am now trying couchsurfing as it is also part of tha adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have travelled a lot and I've talked to many people that have tried couchsurfing and said it was amazing so I want to give it a try! I like meeting new people and discover new culture so I think couchsurfing is a great way to do so.

Interests

I love meeting new people and embracing new culture. I love speaking in a different language, especially English but I'd love to improve my Spanish and Chinese!

As said before, travelling is my favourite passion, I love discovering new countries and cities and nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love reading and going to the cinema especially when I can't travel then I travel through books and movies. My favourite book is probably 'Life of Pie' as I felt a bit different after it... I won't spoil it to you but it's an incredible book.
I have to say that I am a huge fan of American movies such as Django or the Truman Show. But as a French girl, of course I do love French independent movies too! If we meet and want to increase your movie culture I'd love to help you!
Concerning music I like every time of music, especially pop. But I have to say that I don't really know anything about music I just listen to Spotify.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, it's hard to pic one, but I guess I was crazy when I decided to go to NZ on my own when I was 16 and barely knew English. But I'm definitly glad I did!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new languages, new culture and real facts about countries that only the people of the country know about! Of course there's no point in learning a language if you don't speack to other people and that's something I love, speaking in another language and trying to exchange things with complete different people. I was a teacher and a guide so sharing knowledge and experience is something I love to do!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my time, my experience as a traveller, my language if you want and cooking.

I am on couchsurfing because I want to meet new people so I want to share things with the host or with the people that are welcoming me not just a house or a flat. When I couchsurf, I'd love to learn more about the country or about the town, maybe eat together as I llove to cook.
