Hello all! My name is Claire. I've lived in both Germany and South Africa but now reside and work in Washington, DC. Despite my cubicle 9-5 job, I will always be a traveler at heart. My job allows me to plan the stays of foreigners in the United States and live vicariously through them.

My preferred way of experiencing a new city is on foot and by eating my way through it! I'm not a huge museum goer but other than that I am up for anything!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am visiting Chicago for work and extending my stay as I have never been there. I was originally going to stay with a high school friend of mine, but she is unfortunately out of town while I am there. I'd love to have a local show me what Chicago has to offer!
