About Me

I am an art history student who is now going towards becoming a museum curator. I have been extremely lucky to be surrounded by amazing museums all my life, and to be able to draw in them! Now, I'd define myself as an art historian and artist. I love making comics, I am passionate about animation and I love blogging about the exhibitions I go to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to connect with other people and share something with them. On my travels, I always end up sketching other people and sharing something with them from that experience.

I love art history, art exhibitions, animation, comics, fencing, drawing, making comics, writing...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a large variety of music. Either I'm always in the mood for classical music, as well as electroswing (Caravan Palace, Parov Stelar, Tape Five...)

My favourite movies are animation movies: The King and the Mockingbird, The Secret of Kells, Princess Mononoké...

In terms of books I love 'My Name is Red' by Orhan Pamuk, and '100 Years of Solitude' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a fencer so I have done some 17th century style duelling in Parisian parks under the surprised eyes of tourists! It was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching about art history - I visit most places for their cultural richness and beauty so if you ever want an art historian's perspective, even on a place you may have visited many times, I would be delighted to create a special guided tour for you! I also believe that with enough perseverance and enthusiasm anyone can learn how to draw, and I am ready to demonstrate this by teaching you!

In terms of languages I am always happy to have conservations in French or English, and I am busy brushing up on spanish, italian and hopefully German! I am mostly a cake-based cook but I would be very happy to help in the kitchen while learning about local recipes...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my love of art history and culture, my scone-making skills and English Breakfast skills (And I'll share the "secret" recipe!) and my love of sketching. If you want to have nice messy sketches of the family or the household that I will be glad to leave behind as a keepsake, I am the host you want to host!
