About Me

I'm Claire, a 22 years old French girl. I come from Brest, where i grew up till my 18. I lmoved for my studies twice, firstly in Paris and secondly in Montpellier (south of France, suuuunn ). I'm fond of Health, the subject i study, and i want to work as an help for people to eat better :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people all aroun the world or just next door!
I've tried once with my friends and it was such a great experience I immediatly wanted to do it again. I hope also I can welcome people in my city to make them discover interesting places.

Also, i hate going somewhere without knowing everything about the city/country/place I am. Instead of laying in an hotel, Couchsurfing is a good way to find a free guide with good addresses to give!

Interests

I'm fond of arts, mainly drawing, painting and literature (in fatc, i'm a terrible drawer, but at least, I really enjoy to be into a museum). I'm also interested about history, which can turn me a little crazy when I discover a city (with all the travelling books you can find, etc)

I enjoy also hiking, in the nature. I'm really lucky to had done an Erasmus in a small city in Finland, from where you can loose yourself in less than 5 minutes in the forest. I think it is the best sport you can do, and the best way to see the most beautiful sunset on earth.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm quite into every kind of music, but more Ol French One (buh, sorry). Each music has its special moment, where you prefer it to oneother. But if I had to choose only one type of music for the rest of my life, I would probably say classical ((ye, I played violin for 12 years, it stays). But I quite open minded about every type of music (and I can start to sing really loudly if i know the lyrics...)

My favorite movies are 500 Days of Summer, Pierrot le fou, La Vitta e bella, Grave of the Fireflies. I know these are quite sad movies (yes 500 days IS a sad movie, and not a romantic one! )I don't really like horror movies, I think because i can be to easily afraid after, but if there are 10000000 persons watching it with me, it's okay.

About books? Huuuuum. Books ARE MY LIFE. No kidding, I could spend my all days reading. It is for me a way to escape in an other reality, and sometimes to learn more things than in school. To only put some titles, I would say that my favorite books are Les Misérables, Umberto Eco, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Le Petit Prince, The Jungle Book, War and Peace.
I read also lot of comics, but the list would just be too long an annoying hiih

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I left my friends and family to go on an erasmus. It is not a big thing but i managed myself to leave everything I knew. And... I totally don't regret it. Nor the cold, the winter, the snow, the English speaking all the time. It only gives me the idea of keep doing this for the rest of my life (well, we'll see butan crossed-finger)

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to cook pain perdu and curry chicken. And I can tell all the tiny & interesting details and fun facts about everything you wants. Otherwise, if you want to learn French, i can also help with it ;)
If you want to make a Harry Potter quote battle (or an Asterix, or any comics one) and if you want to learn every noise and quote from the first movie in French, i can also help.
