Overview
About Me
Food, stories, and spending time outside bring me a lot of happiness. Also a big fan of mornings, tea, board games, flowers, and cats. As a public health researcher, I study public policy strategies to promote healthy aging and community resilience to disasters. I feel equally at home in the southeast, New England, and the Pacific Northwest; basically anywhere with big trees is fine. Mountains help too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've been reading a lot of poetry recently: Adrienne Rich, Audre Lorde, Mary Oliver, Alice Walker, and Walt Whitman are some favorites. Nonfiction-wise, I've loved essay/memoirs (Terry Tempest Williams, Annie Dillard, Zadie Smith) and favorite non-fiction recently has been Dreamland, Five Days at Memorial, and Evicted.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Held several live hummingbirds in my hands (I studied ecology in college, which involved some pretty magical fieldwork experiences)
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to talk about books, and I'm a big policy wonk, specifically on issues of disasters, aging, and public health, so always happy to share thoughts on that! I've also recently become decent at baking sourdough .
