About Me

I'm currently a classic cliche of a recent graduate in her 20s who has no idea what to do with her life! So, my current response is to live in Spain and hope that a little travel and a lot of life-learning will help me figure out what to do with my life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was growing up in a small country town, my mother and I decided to join couch surfing and host travellers. It was such an awesome experience, as we had the most lovely people stay with us, and it definitely spiced up boring country life.
Ever since then, I've been convinced that it's such a genuine way to meet locals, and the generosity that is extended, to complete strangers nonetheless, has restored my faith in humanity a touch.

Interests

I absolutely adore travelling, as I think it is the best way to get to know yourself and to experience life in a way that's not possible when you're at home. For this reason, I also love getting to know about other cultures and languages and meeting people who have a different outlook on life than I do.
I also love cooking. I'd like to think of my future-self as a power-house woman bringing home the bread, but to be honest I'd be just as content stuck in a kitchen baking bread, pickling cabbage and drinking wine. Ah yes, I also love wine. And salsa. I dig salsa dancing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Uft, love music, all different genres, but I hate the 'what's your favourite music' question- I find it too difficult! On a basic level, anything that has a groovy beat and makes you move without noticing, is the kind of music I'm into.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling from Mexico down to Colombia (via Cuba!) over three months. It was too short of a time, but I got to visit some incredible places and I met some awesome people.

Teach, Learn, Share

My favourite thing to share of course is a meal. I think cooking for others is always so much more enjoyable then just cooking for yourself...And sharing a bottle of wine too is pretty alright. I love the stories, insights and shimmers of personalities that are shared also whilst a meal is being prepared, eaten and enjoyed.

I'm an English teacher, so of course I'm always happy to teach and share any knowledge of the English language I have.

I'm currently learning about the world, really- in all it's micro intricacies- that's what living and traveling over the other side of the world will do for you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A delicious meal! I love cooking and am always more than happy to make a meal and share this with some wine!

Also I'm happy to help anybody with their English (as I'm an English teacher), and I've got the basics of Spanish down too :)

I also love salsa dancing, so I'd be pretty happy to share a dance too.
