I'm a dynamic, motivated, self starter that's spent the last 25 years running my own businesses. The first, a first aid training company authorised by the Red Cross. I closed that company in 2020. The second? I birthed the preschool music program C.L.A.P. with Claire in 2006 just before whelping my son in March of 2006. (www.clapwithclaire.com). While I am on a temporary break from teaching my program, I am open to volunteering my time as a music teacher to young children wherever I go!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Recently an empty nester - I decided to sell my house, give away my belongings and find my new life, however that may look. I've spend the last 24 years living in the same city and the last 18 in the same house. A nomad by nature, I've got many stationary years behind me, and I'm looking to enjoy exploring the world before I'm too old and settled to sleep on couches, air mattresses, tents and floors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch a lot of movies or TV. I listen to almost any kind of music. I read less than I used to, and prefer podcasts or audiobooks now. I've recently become fascinated with all things herbal,so that's one of the topics I recently started learn about, I'm also interested in learning more about geology, sacred geometry, quatumn anything, meditation, spirituality and holistic health.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Joined a comedy improv troupe! For 5 years I performed, and had the honour of studying and performing with Improv masters like Colin Mochrie, Laura and Rick Hall, Matt Baram, Naomi Sniekus, and Patrick McKenna. What an amazing way to learn how NOT to be self conscious!

LIGHT! I want to bleed light wherever I go. (It;s no coincidence myname is Claire) I'm willing to pitch in with chores, help out with a project, mind children, walk dogs/caretake animals, share some tips and tricks about improv comedy, share my love of all things music....almost anything really. If it's safe and legal, I'll probably say YES!
