About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To start a frame shop and photography business on the west coast!

ABOUT ME

I am outgoing and social and love making new friends. I love learning new things and experiencing anything outdoors. I consider myself to be a constantly learning and evolving person, and appreciate all experiences. I come from a family of musical intellectuals, my parents both being music college professors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to meet people!

Interests

I am a photographer with a passion for gourmet cooking, fermented foods and kombucha, hiking, camping, backpacking, and anything outdoors. I love good music, zombie movies, craft beer, and am 420 friendly. I have a small dog, a corgi/chi mix who is a great companion and wildly hilarious named Butters.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Anything by Bill Bryson or TC Boyle, Barbara Kingsolver...Music: I love Frank Zappa, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Father John Misty, Simon & Garfunkel, The Doors, The Animals....Movies: I love a good documentary, anything about post apocalyptic/disease scenarios, anything with a good plot twist!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked 5 miles to a hot spring in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the John Muir Wilderness in winter for 4 days.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to make your own kombucha and ferment anything you like (sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, yogurt, kefir, etc), and send you off with your own starter culture! I can also teach you how to cook a gourmet meal with almost anything in a normal kitchen. I can show you some great camping meal techniques, and also some survival tips for camping/living/boondocking outdoors. I also have a green thumb for herbal gardening, and can show you how to grow your own sprouts, microgreens, and easy container plants for apartment gourmet fresh greens!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My knowledge, my friendliness, my hugs, my awesome dog Butters whom you will fall in love with (even the most hardened people have fallen for this guy).

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Italy, United States, Virgin Islands, U.S.
