About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn a new thing everyday.

ABOUT ME

I`m primarily a teacher of psychology, but that's coming to an end this year (for now anyway). My life took a sudden turn and I've been given the opportunity to find out what else to do with it. So I`m in transition; and I've decided to spend it traveling for 6 months.

So at 32 I`m off on an adventure, wanna join me?

I`m not new to traveling, I`m relaxed, willing to pitch in, prefer to get involved and learn than be on my own, and really enjoy meeting people.

PHILOSOPHY

Learn, love, laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I`m going to be traveling for 6 months through eastern Europe and Vietnam and Cambodia. I'd like to couchsurf for the majority of that time, interspersed with hostels. I want to meet the real people of a place, not just other travelers.

When i next find a home I`m going to return the favour and make my couch available.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I`m new to couch surfing in this format, but I've lived in group housing for the last 12 years and had so many people coming and going it's nothing new to me. The years I lived with musicians were the most fun. Having people drop by for a week or two and jam the night's away in our living room are some of my favorite memories.

Interests

I do: pottery, sculpture, random craft (currently making goblin heads out of salt dough for a public art project), walk, talk, eat.

I read: religious propaganda, comics, feminist blogs, newspapers, novels about life stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a night tour of Alcatraz was beautiful and getting to go behind the bird man's cell was something I will never forget!

Rowing through Florida's swap lands with crocs right next to me!

Watching the sunset in Central Australia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a well rounded knowledge of world religions, but always want to learn more. ( Note: I`m not religious, but faith intrigues me)
Psychology and sociology are my two other loves.
