ABOUT ME

I love living my life day by day. I love not knowing where I´ll end up next til I´m there. I just finished uni last spring so it´s been really nice to have freedom to live without a set schedule. When I´m at home I work in theatre doing costume design. I really enjoy my work and I seem to bring the fun of dressing up with me wherever I go. I also love and miss my kitchen! I am a vegetarian (the best I can be while travelling) and when I´m at home I spend alot of time cooking. I really enjoy live music and spend alot of time going to concerts. I really want to learn Spanish and am doing pretty well as I´m finding I can understand what people are saying and I´m getting better at responding without playing charades. haha

PHILOSOPHY

I have met so many beautiful people while travelling and I think meeting these people inspire me to live life out of the norm. I have been inspired to go to places I´d never heard of, or to listen to music I didn´t know, etc. Life is about interaction and travelling is the best way to interact with people you normally wouldn´t being at home.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I just got back from Morocco yesterday. When my friend and I were in Meknes we decided we needed to see the Grand Mosque. We got there and it was nice but not the kind of awe inspiring we were looking for. We realized we were now way out of town and were exhausted from a day in the Medina. I saw a group of kids playing football and we decided to check it out. We ended up playing with them all afternoon. School got out and all the kids came running over to see who we were. They all started singing to us some kids song with actions. It was such a random yet amazing afternoon. Out of all the things I saw in Morocco I think that afternoon will be something I never forget.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

The most common thing I've taught other travellers so far is how to sew. I have repaired many holes and sewed on many buttons since I started my trip. Sewing kits are key.
