Right now I'm a volunteer living and working as an English teacher in Cambodia. Am a total nerd, love reading, writing, movies, music--all pretty normal. Love good beer, too, though that's not really available in Cambodia. Bike ride a lot, hate running.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I would love to meet up with any vacationers that happen to find themselves in Kampong Thom and show them around the K Thom town and/or my District (Santuk, where Santuk Mountain lies).

Additionally, some people in K Thom are not always *too* friendly to foreigners as they have had bad experience with disrespectful tourists just passing through; I would love to help, in a small way, rehabilitate that image.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met with people from surfing but have never surfed or hosted, yet.

Interests

Most of my time in Cambodia is spent teaching English in a public high school or doing community development work where I live. However, my favorite thing about my time here is just hanging out with the people in my community and enjoying the relaxed, open way of life in Cambodia.
