ABOUT ME

i'm a 35 year old female motorbike enthusiast, i like drawing, painting, reading, camping, motorbike rallies, festivals and socialising and always have a camera to hand.
(for a more honest description i ride a motorbike which i love, i like other motorbikes too but i have a little idea of how they work although i am learning, i used to do a lot of arty things but now i doodle occasionally, i read when i have time, i do like camping but now it is usually at music festivals or bike rallies which involves getting drunk in a field and listening to good music with good friends, i am a social butterfly, probably described as party animal but with a bit more dignity and i take way to many photographs as it may be the only way i remember anything!)
my friends have described me as open, kind, caring, generous, outgoing, with pizzazz, trustworthy, bubbly, a bit nuts (!!) and sociable with a flamboyant mischief that has flares of grace (!? i still have email my friend described me in!) and i always have a smile to share.
i have mainly travelled around Britain (not exciting to some but fun all the same) usually camping or staying on friends sofas or in hostels

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am enjoying hosting couchsurfers at the moment and i'm looking forward to participating as a surfer in the near future

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have more experience couchsurfing with friends and friends of friends outwith the CS site as i have spend most of my teens, twenties and now early 30s sleeping on friends or friends of friends sofas/ floors around the country but i have recently begun hosting guests from CS which has been good so far!

Interests

i love going to live gigs, concerts and festivals and also motorbike rallies and getting the buzz that these events give and the opportunity to make new friends at them. i couldn't live without music, the songs i listen to are the story of my life and where i've been, i just wish i could play an instrument! i am active in one of the local drama groups and have been involved in performing in the scottish drama festival as well as pantomime productions but latterly i have been doing a lot of back stage work in costume and make up which i love, having a living canvas is great fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love music of many genres, will go and see pretty much anything live if i can just for the buzz live music gives me and i listen to anything from rock, indie, metal and industrial to folk, blues and country and almost anything else inbetween, it would be impossible for me to list all the bands and mucicians i listen to or have seen!
i enjoy reading when i get the time, mainly si- fi fantasy like Terry Pratchett's Discworld (or pretty much any of his work) H.G Wells Time machine, Jeters Morlock Night, Gods Behaving Badly and the Narnia Chronicles by C.S. Lewis but into darker things too like psychological thrillers and true crime. for films i'll watch pretty much anyting but am mainly into zombie, vampire, horror, anime or comedy with a spattering of cult musicals thrown in for good measure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

my favorite moment recently would be watching the sun set and rise in the space of an hour in the very far north isles of scotland at a motorbike rally camping with some great friends, absolutely beautiful with the moon high in the sky but as light as midday, i would recommend that to anyone!
my other awesome experience this year was seeing Pearl Jam,it brought me back 20 years to being a teenager and its the only gig i've ever cried with sheer emotion over the power and resonance in someones voice!
