I'm working on getting back into volunteering and social justice initiatives. Please share any opportunities that you may know of!

I quit my sales job in February 2019 (I was selling a fundraising platform to nonprofits) and traveled to Hawaii and Colombia (my fourth trip there!). I then started as a project manager, helping my parents renovate their home in Los Angeles. With that project wrapped up, I'm going to do some traveling in Europe and then head to live in Buenos Aires. I'm very much looking forward to hosting there, as I've been living in Los Angeles with very little space and unable to host.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to learn more about a city through its people. There's also something so special about being in someone's home and cooking a meal together.

I have surfed a few times (all great!) and hosted only once. Unfortunately my first time hosting I was robbed. I got everything back because I caught the guy, but be careful! He was charming, kind, and a lot of fun. I never would have guessed! I tried to report him but he immediately removed his profile from CS--my hope is that he learned his lesson and he's now paying it forward.

Interests

Making notecards (and writing in them), reading, seeing live music, DANCING, ceramics, cooking with friends, street art, people watching, people meeting, architecture walks, road trips, public radio, TRAVELING--but that's something we all like, right? :)

Music--Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Bjork, The Pixies, At-the-Drive-In, Bowerbirds

Movies--I don't watch many movies or much television, but I do like a few from what I have seen. Ghost World, Heima, Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction, True Romance

Books--Anything by Malcolm Gladwell and I tend to lean towards non-fiction

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2007 I traveled to Gulu, Uganda and stayed in a displacement camp. On the same trip I rafted the Nile!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more about mindfulness, traveling solo, and how you've pursued your passions. I am very chatty, but I pick up on different personalities and needs of others (my sister is more introverted and I'm very cognizant of when she needs her space).

I'd be happy to teach you about: arts and crafts, home organizing (I do this on the side), cooking (a variety of cuisines), booking travel cheaply (I'm sure most folks on here know how), and making a spreadsheet for anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to cook you a meal, take you out for a beer, something fun!
