About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go with the flow

ABOUT ME

I hit 25 last year, had a great job working for a charity then realised the 9-5 office life is not at all for me, I need to get outdoors. So I dropped everything, pretty much threw my degree out the window, moved to the east coast of Ireland and started from scratch again to train as an outdoor activity instructor. I absolutely love the outdoor life and feel super lucky to be living in such an incredible place. Now I'm taking a few months off to be outdoors, see some beautiful places, live life a bit slower and just have some time for myself.

PHILOSOPHY
Sharing is caring

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm spending the year working in Ireland and would love to see as much as possible of this beautiful island while meeting great people (on my time off) so figure that couchsurfing is one of the best ways to do that. I'm also living in an absolutely gorgeous part of Ireland and would love to show visitors around (unfortunately I can't offer a place to stay but I'm always happy to meet up! )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had amazing couchsurfing experiences everywhere I've been and met such wonderful people, I can't stress enough how much I believe in its ethos!

Interests

I'm basically happiest when I'm outdoors and when I'm with people although I do like a good bit of solo contemplative time too... I'm really interested in how the mind works and am quite into my mindfulness despite not practicing it a such as I'd like to. I've always had a passion for the Spanish language and Latin American cultures, I love a bit of salsa dancing and have done a wee bit of living and travelling on that continent.... I'm also to start my masters in occupational therapy in January so am really interested in rehabilitation and how people overcome challenges in their lives to become healthy.... So yeah I have a huuuuuge range of interests!

  • photography
  • documentaries
  • mexican food

A thousand splendid suns and the Kite Runner are my favourite books to date.. Khaled Husseini is a genious!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't just choose one...
- wild swimming on the Isle of Skye
-Working as a carer for adults with learning disabilities, helped send me in the right life direction
- volunteering at a migrant refuge centre in Mexico..
- attending a 10 day silent meditation retreat - yep that's no speaking for 10 days - not a word

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that as humans, we have so much to learn from one another, so let's just get talking and see where we go from there!
