ABOUT ME

I'm a Canadian student who loves to balance the West Coast lifestyle - laid-back, tea-drinking, yoga-loving - with the pragmatic and straight-shooting approach that I've learned growing up on the Canadian prairies. I love meeting people and sharing stories, but I'm also quite independent and can be a bit hard quiet at first...

Last year, I was on exchange for a semester in Lyon, France, and used this as my springboard into other parts of Europe for weekend trips. Currently, I'm in my last semester of university, after which I'm hoping to do a few months of travelling in SE Asia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've CouchSurfed a few times in different cities, both with friends and on my own. Each time was wonderful, as it allowed us to meet new people and see a side of the city that locals knew rather than just be tourists. The experiences I've had staying at a mountainside home in Grenoble, a schoolhouse loft in the Loire Valley, with an insider at the Strasbourg Christmas markets, and in a downtown Ottawa apartment have all added so much to my travel history.
