ABOUT ME

I am graduating from Santa Clara (near San Francisco in California) in June. I studied abroad in Lille, France in the fall of 2009 on a Direct Exchange program for 4 months and absolutely loved it. I am a very independent person who is extremely active. I love hiking, running, beach volleyball, rafting, etc. Basically any outdoorsy activity I love! I am also very easy to get along with and am laid back. In other words, I'm not a picky person! I think the most important things in life are experiences, so I value travelling and meeting new people more than anything.

PHILOSOPHY

The most important thing in life is to figure out who you are, what you want, and then go about accomplishing your most lofty of goals. Once you figure out those crucial details about yourself, you will be happy and all other aspects of your life will fall into place. My major goal in life is to become an active mountain climber once I accumulate a sufficient amount of money. One day I hope to conquer Mount Everest.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I'm a student and don't have an established house or apartment yet, I can't host people. However, once I have a steady income I will love to give back to the people who host me when I'm travelling! It will happen, I promise! Especially if we keep in touch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I work as the Direct Exchange Coordinator at Santa Clara where I'm active in helping the incoming exchange students from all over the world assimilate into American university life. Two of my friends are from France and we travelled to San Francisco for a weekend where one of them had made a close friend through this website. It inspired me to want to meet people on CouchSurfing!

Way too many to list. Oscar Wilde and the Bronte sisters are two of my favorite authors. I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy (the movies and the books)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Let's soo, there's so many! I've been to the Galapagos Islands off Ecuador, and I've gone on countless numbers of amazing hikes and rafting trips. In April I ran two half marathons (13.1 miles each) in two weeks time, and the first one I finished 2nd in my age group.
