About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy the last 5 months of our year long trip around the world! See new cities, meet new people from other cultures, and achieve and learn something new everyday!
ABOUT ME
Greg: Music, sport (AFL!), geek, friends, food, clubs,
Claire: I love reading about art and painting. I studied cultural studies at Uni so I'm pretty curious about other cultures and how other people live. Cooking and healthy eating is another interest - but all my healthy eating goes out the door on the weekend which is all about letting go, eating out and drinks with friends. I love music and can play bass guitar and the piano. I go out a lot and like to listen to dance music + electronica but I also love old blues and rock and roll too! I'm truly open minded and accepting of people from all walks of life. I'm told my sense of humour is off beat and a little quirky. But I think I'm pretty funny...
PHILOSOPHY
We're both open minded people who live in the moment. We're given some pretty special opportunities in life and feel it's important to share those with others. Being quite young we're open to lots of new experiences and have optimistic outlooks on what the future holds.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are currently on an around the world trip, so while we're unable to host at this moment - we look forward to having people stay when we're back and settled in Australia! On our travels, we want to surf and meet as many new people as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've had people stay and have yet to stay on another person's couch.
Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saving our salaries and planning a 12 month trip around the world was extremely difficult. This took us about 3 years to do, but we finally have saved enough and are now backpacking for one year.
We've hiked 10km into the Grand Canyon, driven a car for three weeks around the United States, seen the Eiffel Tower, visited Angkor Wat in Cambodia and tried many many delicious new cuisines and food. We have also put ourselves out there to meet many new people, from locals to other travellers. We have made so many new friends in our travels and we hope to make more.
Having amazing friends and family around
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach a bit about cooking - we've picked up a lot of new cooking skills in our 7 months of travelling! Anything information you need on travelling or visiting Australia, we can help you with too. Greg (being a bit of a geek) can fix most computer related problems too! Very handy!
