Reading (especially non-fiction), learning how to cook new foods(and eating in general), growing orchids, brewing beer, swimming in the ocean, long-distance running, dancing on my own... Watching all the movies I've never seen (Star Wars, Godfather, etc.), visual art of the 60's and 70's, James Turrell, pilgrimage to modern-area architectural monuments, Andy Warhol, Elvis, gold paint on walls, sequins.

I love to hike/trek and have seen some incredible places and lived the tell the tale. Most crazy trek I've done: 5 days in the Columbian jungle to Ciudad Perdida (think an "undiscovered" Machu Piccu in the Columbian jungle through knee-deep mud with multiple white-water river crossings). I am very adventurous and think there is value in visiting just about anywhere - it all depends on your attitude and your state of mind. Anytime you struggle and push yourself, you become a stronger person.

I can teach you how to make yogurt, beer, and cultivate local yeasts if we have enough time. I try to find the time to improve my yoga practice and enjoy sharing this with others when possible. I can show you some beginning postures that most anyone can do. I can show you some nice trails to run on around Austin.
